I spent years visiting Brazil. I used to go there to engineer sessions and train a staff of young interns and engineers at a new studio. While visiting, I would hang and play sessions and gigs with friends there. This is one of my life long loves, playing Brazilian music with Brazilians! But as we know, perfection in this music is a 'cultural thing'. I can get close, but one really has to be Brazilian to hit this mark perfectly. "Um Gringo No Samba" is an expression much like our "fly in the ointment" or "wrench in the works"...so there's a double entendre working here...and a lot of fun!
