about

one night on a gig, i asked the girl collecting money at the door what she was doing...all night she was sitting with her head buried in a book writing...she looked up at me with the deepest eyes and said "I am a poet, my name is Amy Taylor" by the end of the gig, she had disappeared, but the moment made an impression that was lasting...that week I wrote this tune and framed a copy of the music to give her...I went back to the club - they told me she was no longer living there, that she moved to maine the day before...
